About the American Academy of Addiction
Psychiatry
AAAP is an international professional medical organization founded
in 1985 with approximately 1,000 members
in the United States and around the world. The
membership consists of psychiatrists who work with
addiction in their practices, faculty at various academic
institutions, addiction professionals, residents
and medical students. The Academy's mission
is:

Information
Attendee Profile
AAAP Annual Meetings are attended
by more than 300 psychiatrists and other health care professionals
with expertise in the
addiction field representing public and
private mental health and addiction treatment facilities,
academic institutions, research programs, behavioral
health organizations, corporations, general and
specialty hospitals, and community prevention programs.
Hotel Information
The AAAP 15th Annual Meeting & Symposium will take place
at the Wyndham El San Juan, which is conveniently located
in the Isla Verde area of San Juan, Puerto
Rico. The room rate is $185 single/double, plus tax.
A special block of rooms is being held for registered exhibitors
and attendees. All room reservations are being
controlled by the meeting office and are assigned to
registered persons only. For additional information, call
540-349-3144, or visit www.aaap.org. The deadline for
reservations is November 1, 2004. After that, reservations will
be accepted on a space- and rate-available basis.
Make sure to mention you are with the American Academy
of Addiction Psychiatry meeting to receive the special
conference room rate. Make your reservations early
to get your first choice of accommodations! Reservations must be
guaranteed by one night’s deposit or
a major credit card. Individual guest room deposits will
be refunded if reservations are canceled seventy-two hours prior to
date of arrival. Check-in is 3 p.m., and
check-out is noon. You must directly request a late check-out
time from the hotel.
Exhibit Hall Benefits
Inclusive Booth Space
Your 8' x 10' booth space includes back and side draping,
one exhibitor identification sign, one 6' skirted
table, two side chairs, one wastebasket and a listing
in the Annual Meeting Program and on the AAAP
Web site.
Complimentary Meeting Registration
Each exhibitor is provided one complimentary registration for
exhibit booth staff. All other booth staff must
be fully registered for the conference. Registered exhibitor
staff are welcome to participate in all
Annual Meeting sessions and meals.
Events in Exhibit Hall
All breaks and
continental breakfasts, the Poster and Exhibit
Reception, the AAAP Silent Auction and the Book
Fair will take place in the Exhibit Hall. There will
also be a prize drawing for attendees who visit every
booth.

Poster Reception
Schedules for Friday, December 10, and Saturday,
December 11, are being revised
to avoid conflicts with meeting sessions
whenever possible. Exhibits its
will close for tear down no later than
noon on Saturday, December 11.

Booth Cost
Each 8' x 10' booth space costs $1,500.
Booth Staff
One complimentary registration is provided for each exhibitor.
Additional staff may register for the conference. Call

Booth Location
AAAP assigns booth locations on a first come-first served basis, but
we will make every effort to accommodate your
requests.
Security
Each exhibitor must make provisions for safeguarding their
goods, materials, equipment and display at all times.
Neither AAAP nor the Wyndham El San Juan is responsible
for loss of any material for any cause.
Official Decorator and Contractor
Caribbean Exhibits, Inc. is the official service contractor for
the event. A Service Package will be sent to
each exhibitor approximately 90 days prior to the event.
Exhibitor Shipping Information
Exhibitors are responsible for
their shipping to and from
the conference. Shipping of exhibit materials is at
the expense of the exhibitor. Details will be sent via
the Service Package.
Deadlines
All registrations must be received by September 3, 2004. Full
payment must be submitted with registration.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations prior to October 15, 2004 will be assessed
a $100 cancellation fee. There will be no refunds
for cancellations after October 15, 2004.
