Sponsorship Opportunities

Unrestricted Sponsorship
Opportunities exist to sponsor general Annual Meeting educational activities. Contributions in any amount are appreciated. Some sponsorship benefits, such as free meeting registrations or exhibit booths, are determined by the amount donated. Please see above for specific details.

Event Sponsorship Activities
For the following sponsor categories, sponsors will receive one complimentary conference registration and a listing in the final program. A sign will be placed at the entrance of the event noting your sponsorship. Partial sponsorships are also available.

Provides a resident or student with the opportunity to attend the Annual Meeting. Travel expenses, hotel

accommodations and meeting registration will be covered. Sponsors will be listed in the final program.

Compact Discs (Need price for the recording of sessions and production of the compact discs)
Along with a complimentary registration and a listing in the final program, the sponsor will be listed on the cover of the compact disc kits.

Specialty Items Give You Visibility

Name Badge Neck Straps
Donate 300-400 neck straps with your company's logo. Annual Meeting attendees will be given these neck straps to use with their official conference name badges.

Silent Auction

Donate items for the Silent Auction - gift baskets; jewelry; gift certificates; golf clubs; electronics, such as a digital camera, Bose CD-Radio, laptop computer, IPod, or Personal Digital Assistant (PDA); Coach Briefcase or portfolio; motorized scooter; or other high end items on attendees’ wish lists. Sponsors of these items will be listed in the Final Program and acknowledged at the Silent Auction display.

Premiums

The following are examples of specialty items that may be included with participants’ registration packets at the Annual Meeting. The items will include your company name/logo (name only on pens) and the meeting name. We will be glad to consider other ideas for specialty items to distribute to our meeting participants.

Exchange Table $50 handling

An opportunity to ship 200 copies of materials you would like to provide to the membership free of charge. This can include books, magazines, conference announcements, proceedings or any other free materials. Materials will be displayed at the start of the meeting and left out until supplies are exhausted.

Other Ways to Get the Word Out

Many opportunities exist to present information about your product or organization to members of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry and other health care professionals. This includes advertising in the Academy’s publications, purchasing the AAAP mailing list, exhibiting at the AAAP Annual Meeting and sponsoring various AAAP activities. Opportunities include event, product, publication and Web site sponsorship. By having many AAAP activities to choose from to support, you are able to direct your message in a variety of different ways.

Maintenance of the AAAP Web Site - $5,000/Sponsor
Help support the cost of maintaining the Academy's Web site. A listing of the sponsors will appear on the Web site.

Supplements to The American Journal on Addictions
Topics must be mutually agreed upon by the sponsor and AAAP. A listing of the sponsors will appear in the special supplement. Costs will depend on the length of the supplement and printing costs.

AAAP News Publication - $5,000/Sponsor
Contribute to the printing and mailing costs of the newsletter or a special insert. A listing of the sponsors will appear in the newsletter.

AAAP Activities at the Annual Meeting
AAAP activities held in conjunction with the APA Annual Meeting include a reception and committee meetings. A sign will be placed at the entrance noting your sponsorship.

Membership Scholarships - $3,000/Sponsor
Help provide potential international members, medical students and residents with reduced AAAP membership dues.

AAAP Addiction Psychiatry Update/Review Courses - Costs dependent on item
Sponsorship opportunities include update/review courses on national and local levels, books, CD-ROMs, an interactive review course on the Web site and a State Review Course Module.

AAAP Area Activities - Costs dependent on item
Sponsor area activities or area newsletters. A listing of the sponsor will appear at the activities or in the newsletter.

Educational Resources - Costs dependent on item
Sponsor educational products such as content area bibliographies, technical assistance guides, an addiction training guide, publications on topics such as the use of buprenorphine, efficacy of treatments, etc.
