AAAP Affiliate Membership
AAAP recently opened up its membership to "non-psychiatrist professionals who are making a contribution to the field of addiction psychiatry." AAAP appreciates the contribution affiliate members can make to the Academy. If you are interested in joining as an affiliate member, please follow the procedures below.
Affiliate Membership Application Procedures
Eligibility Requirements: Affiliate members are defined as "non-psychiatrist professionals who are making a contribution to the field of addiction psychiatry."
Application Procedures:
1. Complete the Membership Application.
2. Obtain two letters of recommendation: one from a current AAAP member and one from a professional colleague familiar with your work in addictions. Letters should include a description of the contributions you have and are making to the addictions field and include contact information.
3. Include a paragraph describing your contributions to the addictions field and number of years in the field.
4. Complete Areas of Expertise form.
5. Send the above items and payment to:
