AAAP Membership
Membership
in the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry has numerous benefits such as
annual scientific programs covering topics in addictions treatment, research,
prevention and education; a subscription to The American Journal on Addictions,
a leading clinical journal in addiction psychiatry; a quarterly newsletter
including state-of-the-art articles of interest to members, clinician
colleagues, patients and their families, administrators, corporate officers and
community members; a Review Course on Addiction Psychiatry that provides an
excellent overview of the addictions field as well as preparation for the
examination for subspecialty certification in addiction psychiatry; a Membership
Directory complete with addresses, phone, fax and e-mail for networking; and an
opportunity to collaborate with leaders in the field of addiction psychiatry.
AAAP is a professional membership organization founded in 1985 with
approximately 1,000 members in the
United States
and around the world. The membership consists of psychiatrists who work with
addiction in their practices, faculty at various academic institutions,
non-psychiatrist professionals who are making a contribution to the field of
addiction psychiatry, residents and medical students.

becoming a member, you are not a representative of
our organization.
Members
will not speak on behalf of the organization
unless asked

the Board of Directors.
