Disclaimer of Warranties and Liabilities

Although the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP) undertakes reasonable efforts to keep the information contained in the AAAP Practitioner Database accurate, AAAP does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, timeliness or merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose of the information contained in the AAAP Practitioner Database  nor in any way endorse the individuals described in the AAAP Practitioner Database. In no event shall the AAAP be liable to you or anyone else for any decision made or action taken by you in reliance on such information. The above warranties are the only warranties of any kind either expressed or implied including warranties of merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose. Should the foregoing terms and conditions be acceptable to you, please indicate your agreement by signing and dating this form below.  

Prohibited Use of the Database
The AAAP Practitioner Database is compiled and published by the AAAP as a reference source of demographic and professional information on individual addiction psychiatrists. The AAAP Practitioner Database or any of its data, listings or other constituent elements may not be downloaded, republished, resold or duplicated, in whole or in part, for commercial or any other purposes or for purposes of compiling mailing lists or any other lists of physicians. The use of the AAAP Practitioner Database to establish independent data files or compendiums of statistical information is prohibited.

The AAAP Practitioner Database is intended for use by the general public to allow them quick access to information on addiction psychiatrists.

The use of the AAAP Practitioner Database by hospitals, managed care organizations, PPOs or other healthcare entities to verify the credentials of physicians is not sufficient to meet the standards of the Joint Commission (JCAHO), National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) or the Utilization Review Accreditation Committee (URAC). The database of physician information which drives the AAAP Practitioner Database does not contain sufficient information with which to verify physician credentials.
